Have you ever tried to define what it is like to belong to a nationality based on particular features? It must be very subjective, I suppose. At least, I saw it that way from within the society I used to belong. I never asked myself anything like that before, tho. Looking from an aside, however, made me think about it differently. I started noticing particular characteristics. Or did I? It's very subjective, anyway. I guess I would never be able to be objective about my nationality.
The series is an attempt to identify myself. The oldest portraits I took back in 2010. I was 24 back then and had no clue what I was doing. The series is a reflection and an intimate diary. In a way, it supports me in dealing with feelings and worries. It helps to define struggle, find its source, and keep moving. In other words, it allows me to live through and with it.
